You should hear from a coach
anytime between now (Sept 29) and October 15, 2011. If you have not
heard from your coach by October 15, 2011 please email us with your
child's full name and birth date for more information. What if I missed registration, can I still register my child? Yes you may still register online (as long as the link is on the homepage) or by mail, however, your child will be placed on a waiting list until space on a team becomes available. How old does my child have to be to play? You child needs to be 4 years of age before their first game to play on a U6 team. If they are not, but are at least 3, they can play First Kicks. What do I need for my late registration? To register by mail you will need a completed and notarized medical release form as well as a completed registration form from the Forms link in the Navigational Box to the left. You will need to mail these forms with a copy of your child's birth certificate and payment for $85.00 to the PO Box listed in the contact box that matches the field you are registering for. What else will my child need to play? Your child will need tennis shoes, turf shoes or cleats. Cleats are preferred as tennis shoes are slipper on wet grass. Your child will also need shin guards. Can I request a that my child have a specific coach or team? If you must have special consideration for transportation purposes or to have two siblings on the same team please do so in writing on your registration form. Please remember that while Citrus United does their best to accommodate these requests, we are not always able to do so and no special request is guaranteed. When and where will my child practice? Practices are at the discretion of the coaches and we are not able to give you that information. When your child has been drafted to a team, a coach will contact you and discuss practice times and days. Practices are usually at the field you registered for, depending on availability. When and where are the games? All games are on Saturday's and will usually be played on the Homosassa fields or at Holden Park. The older the age group, the higher the likelihood that you will have to travel to the other field. Older age groups may be an exception to the above. If you have questions please double check with someone at registration What if my child is not 4 years old by opening day? If your child is not 4 years old by opening day, but is at least 3 years of age, you can register for First Kicks at $40.00 per child. First kicks will meet once a week, on Saturdays at the child's home field to learn the very most basics of soccer. Time will be approximately 10am on Saturdays but the coach will let you know for sure when he or she contacts you. |
